Huge shoutout to the PeapodMat!

My little one decided to attempt some 180-degree gymnastics while latching on some night and ended up throwing up at around midnight.

Back then when my older boys were babies, I used to total panic-mode whenever they threw up. But I eventually learned that snatching a baby up mid-vomit can actually cause them to choke! So with my baby girl, I stayed calm, let her finish doing her thing, and then picked her up.

It turned a potential 1 AM nightmare into a total non-event. My no. two was co-sleeping right next to us and slept right through it since we didn't have to strip the whole bed.

Bought 2 large mats and happy with them! It's lightweight but somehow able to absorb alot of pee and doesn't wet the mattress. It also stays in place well.

Helped save our bed so many nights when my kids are sick. Managed to protect our beds from pukes and nasty poops!

I like the size and colour of the Peapod Mats. But because of the material, it took a long time to dry after washing it the first time. The material also feels more like a towel than a soft blanket. So, I decided to put it under the bedsheet instead of the top. It is effective in retaining the pee hence, it was a good buy,

When I first saw the Peapod mat, I hesitated because of the price. But my husband reminded me: if money can solve our problem, why not? No regrets since.
As a mum who just gave birth to a newborn, running on severe sleep deprivation from pumping and night feeds, this mat has honestly been a lifesaver. My 3yo drinks 1 full bottle of milk and 1 bottle water right before she sleeps. I used to wake up at random times just to check if her pampers was full - because if I was late, the urine might have peaked on my bed. And as a clean freak, even a small leak meant changing the mattress 😭
With the Peapod mat, I finally stopped living in anxiety. I could sleep a little more, knowing I only needed to wash the mat — not the mattress. I bought the biggest size, and now it’s something both my kids can share in the future… and even me, when my period comes back someday 😂

This mat came recommended by someone on instagram. We use it nightly for my child and it is definitely a lifesaver! When there were accidents, we just removed the mat and let our child continue sleeping on the bedsheets. We have also recommended this to our peers.
