Pregnancy & Childbirth: What Every Mum Should Know

A MAMA'S DIARY • EPISODE 01

Pregnancy & Childbirth: What Every Mum Should Know

Pregnant and feeling overwhelmed by all the questions that come with pregnancy and childbirth? In this episode of A Mama’s Diary, Angeline sits down with Prof Christopher Chong, one of Singapore’s most experienced OB-GYNs, to discuss everything from first trimester bleeding and morning sickness to C-sections, pain relief, postpartum recovery and pelvic floor health.

Pregnancy and childbirth can come with countless questions — and sometimes fears. How much bleeding is normal in the first trimester? When is morning sickness more than just morning sickness? Is a C-section safer than a vaginal birth? What does labour pain actually feel like, and what are your options for managing it?

In this episode of A Mama’s Diary, Angeline sits down with Prof Christopher Chong, Senior Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist & Urogynaecologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore, to explore some of the biggest questions mums have about pregnancy, labour and recovery.

The conversation covers first trimester bleeding and miscarriage concerns, hyperemesis gravidarum, food safety during pregnancy, C-sections and VBAC, induced versus natural labour, episiotomy and natural tearing, epidurals and other pain relief options, postpartum bleeding, recovery and pelvic floor health. With practical questions covering both pregnancy and the weeks after birth, this episode aims to help mums feel more informed and confident as they prepare for motherhood.
